形態特徵

Erect annual herb to 1 m tall, wholly glaucous.
Leaves sessile, oblong-obovate or lanceo-late-obovate, 7-25 cm long, 2.5-8 cm wide, base pinnatifid, spinulose-dentate, white-pruinose on both surfaces, more or less amplexicaul at base.
Flowers sessile or very short pedicelled; sepals mostly 3, green; petals obovate, bright yellow, 2-3 cm long; stigma dark red, 3-lobed.
Capsules obtuse, angular-grooved, clothed with erect-patent sharp bristles, 2.5-4 cm long, 3-6-valved above.
